Early Years Learning Framework

Our curriculum is based on each child’s needs, interests and developmental stage ensuring that each child has a sense of being, becoming and belonging to the centre.

Our curriculum is guided by the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) conveying the highest expectations for all children’s learning from birth to transitioning to school. These expectations are communicated through five learning outcomes:

  • Children have a strong sense of identity
  • Children are connected and contribute to their world
  • Children have a strong sense of well-being
  • Children are confident and involved learners
  • Children are effective communicators

The EYLF guides our educators in our curriculum decision making and assists in planning, implementing and evaluating quality in our centres.

Our curriculum includes excursions and incursions in our community and we have a centre bus that transports the children to and from community events. We also have regular movement and music incursions as part of our curriculum.

Our centres also provide a school readiness program preparing children for school.
